Reflective Essay

This essay follows the challenges I, as a neurodiverse student, faced in the U.S. school system and how that affected my confidence, self-worth, and ability to speak up for myself. My experience mirrors that of many others who are struggling within a system that was not designed for them.

It also foreshadows the impact increasing self-understanding and self-love can make and discusses the importance of confidently advocating for yourself in school settings. Lastly, it calls for schools to provide better resources and support, ensuring neurodiverse students have what they need to succeed.

This essay hopes to inspire changes in the education system that will benefit

all students by encouraging

self-understanding, self-love, and

self-advocacy.
