Connecting the Dots
Building Social Capital
in Classrooms:
A Curriculum Guide for
Neurodiverse Learners

This paper argues for and outlines a curriculum designed to help neurodiverse students build confidence and better support networks in school.

Inspired by social network theory, the curriculum explores how to teach students to speak up for themselves and connect with their peers, teachers, and other resources in their schools. It also helps teachers understand how to support neurodiverse students. The lessons cover essential topics like learning how schools work, understanding yourself, and practicing asking for help.

The goal is to make school a more inclusive and supportive place for neurodiverse students to build community, learn, and grow.
